How they launched
Caregivers are paid for verified visits only. That rule lives in one webhook.
Tendcare schedules caregivers for home care agencies and records every visit with electronic visit verification (EVV). Its agencies are the largest employers on Payrun, about 44 caregivers each, and more of them switched payroll on than anywhere else: 43.6%, the highest attach rate of the six partners.
Only verified visits become hours. Tendcare’s team wrote that rule once, in the webhook that approves each run, and mileage between clients is added as its own line, apart from wages. A home health aide in Columbus sees her earnings, $84.36 of mileage, her dental and her 401(k) at 3%, then a net of $1,118.44.
Since November 2024, 188 of Tendcare’s 431 agencies run payroll inside the app, paying 8,317 caregivers every other Friday under Tendcare’s name. A new agency runs its first payroll eight business days after signing.
