Year-end preview in the sandbox
Draft W-2s and 1099-NECs for 2026 can be generated in the sandbox, months before January.
Year-end is when partners hear from every employer at once. To prepare, the sandbox can now generate draft W-2 and 1099-NEC forms for any test company from the pay runs you have already made, with every box filled.
Move the sandbox clock to December 31, then call GET /v1/companies/{id}/year_end to see the forms, the corrections that would be needed and the employees whose address or Social Security number fails validation.
In production, the same report opens to employers on December 1, which leaves them a month to fix their data before the forms are filed.
